Causes of World War I
Militarism- The country has great pride in their country's military. They believe that war is the way to solve any and all major conflicts. Their most important aspect of life is to maintain a strong and well prepared military.
Alliances- All countries had to pick a side. Everyone was in some alliance, and that is what the war builds off of. If there weren't sides, no one would be fighting against anyone and there would be no cause to fight for.
Imperialism- Almost all countries want to expand their land. It is a natural instinct to want more than you currently have. Even the largest of countries still want more land to add to their already large land mass.
Nationalism- Most people have pride in their country. Nationalists have so much pride in their country that they are willing to die for their leader, or kill someone who poses a harm or threat to their home. They will do what ever it takes to protect their homeland.
